Jeff Beyer, Founder, I & M Heating and Cooling

In 1995, Jeff Beyer took a leap of faith and founded I & M Heating and Cooling with one goal in mind: to provide the South Bend community with honest, reliable, and affordable HVAC services. Starting from scratch, Jeff bought the company from its previous owner, who focused on appliances and electrical service. With grit and determination, Jeff began working out of his garage, repairing and selling appliances, while teaching himself the ins and outs of HVAC systems.


Jeff’s hands-on approach and relentless work ethic turned I & M Heating and Cooling into a trusted name in the community. Over the years, the company has grown to serve over 13,000 customers, earning a reputation for top-notch service, fair prices, and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time. With more than 40 years of experience in the South Bend area, I & M Heating and Cooling is proud to be a locally owned business that understands the needs of the community.

Starting from humble beginnings, Jeff took over the company’s operations, transitioning its focus from appliances and electrical work to HVAC systems. Armed with determination and a hands-on approach, he operated out of his garage, learning HVAC systems from the ground up and building a business founded on trust and quality.
